Aberystwythís exiting new £9 million Marina named Y Lanfa opened for business in 1995. The picturesque harbour of the West Wales seaside town has been dramatically remodelled to provide permanent berths for over 100 vessels, signalling a major boost for the University town and Mid Wales Tourism. The Welsh Harbours of Fishguard, Cardigan, New Quay, Aberaeron, Barmouth, Porthmadog, Aberdyfi, and Abersoch are within easy reach, as are the Marinaís at Pwllheli, Conwy, Milford Haven and Neyland. Meanwhile for the more experienced sailors the Marinaís and harbours of Irelandís East Coast are within a days sailing.

Hafan Pwllheli is situated on the south side of the Lleyn Peninsula and provides access to some of the best sailing waters in the UK including Cardigan Bay, Anglesey and the attractive harbours along Ireland's east coast.
Cruising in the waters off the Lleyn Peninsula, which combine moderate tidal and sea conditions with a varied pattern of winds, offers the spectacular scenery of the Snowdonian mountains as a backdrop. The rugged coastline has also been designated an 'Area of Outstanding National Beauty'.

From any direction to any destination, Holyhead is a harbour of refuge which offers a central location with some very scarce features. 24 hour access; Safe entry in all weather conditions, centrally placed for passages throughout the Irish Sea, dual carriageway to UK in town, InterCity Rail in town, Irish Sea ferries a dinghy ride away.

Situated in a non-tidal basin on the North shore of the Haven, this is the only Marina on the Waterway that is wholly owned and operated by the Authority. Providing superb shelter and access to some of the finest leisure boating in the UK, Milford Marina has undergone a sustained development programme that has transformed both its water-based facilities, and on-shore attractions. What was an already established community has expanded and embraced many new developments. Cafes, restaurants and retail outlets have joined the already successful businesses along Nelson Quay. This investment has been recognised through the Yacht Harbour Association's independent assessment scheme in which Milford Marina was awarded Four Gold Anchors; an accolade that seeks to reward the highest standards of operations in UK Marinas.

Neyland Yacht Haven, a 420 berth all tide access marina, is situated in a well protected inlet adjacent to the town of Neyland some ten miles from the entrance of the deep but sheltered waters of Milford Haven. Since opening in 1985 the marina's popularity has grown steadily. With an unrivalled location and some of the finest facilities it is establishing itself as the premier yachting centre in SouthWest Wales.

Penarth Marina is situated within the sheltered waters of Cardiff Bay and built around the basins of the historic Penarth Docks. The marina is an ideal location from which to enjoy Cardiff Bay and to explore the Bristol Channel and Severn Estuary and its many ports. The marina provides a safe berth for resident or visiting craft and with 24 hour access via the Cardiff Bay Barrage. The Barrage has created a 500-acre freshwater lake, which is heralding a new era for boating in the region and the development of an exciting and vibrant leisure waterfront amenity.

Swansea marina is currently at the hub of an exciting stage in the continuing development of Swansea. With the new Port Tawe plans taking off it will be intrinsic to the advancement and promotion of Swansea as Wales' premier maritime destination.
