Zumaia

The town of Zumaia belongs to the historical territory of Gipuzkoa, and is one of the most important towns on the Basque coast. Its port is located in the interior of a natural bay formed by the mouth of the river Urola. In recent years there has been significant work on improving access, ensuring a depth of 5 meters at low tide at the mouth and 3.5 meters along the channel. In this bay sheltered from the prevailing winds from the NW, is the modern marina of Zumaia with a capacity of 548 boats of up to 15 meters.
