Southdown Marina is a small, friendly marina in the picturesque River Tamar. It lies a quarter of a mile from Plymouth Sound. Having passed Drake's Island in Plymouth Sound and entered the Hamoaze with Cremyll Point to port, you will find Southdown Yacht Club situated on the north side of Millbrook Lake, behind lovely Mount Edgecumbe Park. The location is sheltered and well placed for exploring. The marina lies within the jurisdiction of the Queen's Harbourmaster. It is quiet, non-commercialised and friendly to visiting yachtsmen and their families. Berths are walk-on pontoons or quayside and helpful personnel can assist you with enquiries about facilities and services.

Port Pendennis offers a friendly marina in a sheltered corner of Falmouth Harbour, with direct access to the main shopping street and convenient to restaurants and pubs. Bounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty, this is the ideal centre for cruising the West Country, the Isles of Scilly, Brittany, the Channel Islands and the South Coast of Ireland. Historically Falmouth was the first port of call for sailing ships arriving from the Atlantic or Bay of Biscay, and favoured for it's easy entry in extreme weather conditions. Nowadays Port Pendennis is the perfect departure or arrival point for Transatlantic or Biscay passages, supported by a full selection of marine services and adjacent to high street shops for victualling.

Plymouth is well known as a City of the Sea and has played a major role in seafaring voyages around the world. Queen Anne's Battery (QAB) is therefore a popular marina with long-term berth holders and many visitors during the summer months. Offering outstanding facilities for yachtsmen and motor cruisers alike, it has 235 permanent berths for boats up to 18 metres and a visitors' area with alongside pontoon berthing. Besides a chandlery, brokerage and yacht charter, there is a provisions shop selling essential items as well as a café, bar and restaurant. QAB is also home to the Royal Western Yacht Club and many international short-handed yacht races start and finish here, including the single-handed Transatlantic Race.

Sutton Harbour Marina is at the very heart of Plymouth's historic Barbican, with its restaurants, bars, shops and laid-back waterside lifestyle. Plymouth Hoe and the City Centre are within a few minutes walk, and if you're visiting you'll find Sutton Harbour a great base for exploring the diverse and deeply memorable natural attractions of Devon and Cornwall. And on the water, you can enjoy Plymouth Sound, the Tamar and the stunning Yealm Estuary just for starters.

Mayflower is an independent marina and is owned by shareholders of whom the vast majority are existing berth holders. The Compan's Chairman and the entire Board of Directors are both shareholders and berth holders. This combination of factors ensures emphasis is placed on customer care and allowing for a policy of continual investment and improvement of facilities. Non shareholding berth holders and visitors are most welcome.

The marina and river moorings are set in the peaceful middle reaches of the River Dart – although not far from the open sea, at Noss all is quiet and peaceful.

In the evening, you can watch the sun setting over Old Mill Creek from your boat, while waders such as herons and curlews may be seen as you sip your sundowner.
